Integrated EDM and 4D BIM-Based Decision Support System for Construction Projects Control

Project schedule monitoring and controlling are critical challenges of construction project management that not adequately implemented, likely due to the predominance earned value lack utilizing technology, such as BIM tools. Unlike value, duration (EDM) was developed, which includes several indices track progress measure performance a schedule. The goal this research establish decision support system monitor activities during construction, with better accuracy. A survey conducted distributed among ten site engineers, selected from different sites. asked engineers about possible durations certain activities; based on their answers, authors started proposed system. In study, we aimed develop (DSS), combines EDM help calculate probabilistic total duration, visually detecting activities, risky subjected delay categorizing accuracy estimated for delayed activities.
